ZOOM!® teeth whitening is a procedure that can remove stains and discoloration caused by factors such as drinking coffee or tea and smoking. In addition to removing stains, laser whitening can also lighten pigmentation within the teeth.
The entire ZOOM!® laser teeth whitening procedure takes about an hour and a half. The first step involves cleaning the teeth to remove plaque. Next, a peroxide-based gel is placed on the teeth, and a laser is used to activate the gel and speed up the whitening process. DIAGNOdent® works by taking a reading of a normal tooth surface and comparing other tooth surfaces to that reading. This way, it is able to detect even minor amounts of tooth decay.
DIFOTI® is an imaging instrument that can reveal tooth decay that X-rays cannot detect. The device uses light to illuminate the teeth and creates high-resolution digital images that allow us to detect decay. This technology also enables us to diagnose cracks in teeth that are invisible to the naked eye.
